What is B2BKing? – A Brief Overview

B2BKing is a widely known WooCommerce plugin with 20K+ active installations and a 4.95/5 star rating on WordPress.org. It’s a B2B and wholesale plugin that lets you sell products to other businesses on your WordPress eCommerce website.

Moreover, B2BKing supports both B2B and B2C customers. This hybrid mode eliminates the need for separate stores to conduct wholesale and retail sales.

Further, you can even run a private membership store. That’s by hiding prices from guests and restricting access to the shop until visitors sign in.

In simpler words, you can use B2BKing to add wholesale features on your regular WooCommerce store. This involves custom pricing for business buyers, quote request options, customer access controls, bulk ordering function, etc.

Let’s take an example to get a clear understanding of how B2BKing works. Imagine that you run an online store that sells office supplies.

On your online store, you can allow retail customers to buy products at regular prices. Further, you can let offices and resellers bulk order at discounted rates. That’s easy with B2BKing, as it lets you manage different buying needs in one store.

Overall, we’d rate B2BKing 4.9/5. Wondering why such a high rating similar to its active users?

You can start using the free B2BKing plugin if you want just the basic wholesale needs. For more advanced features, like subaccounts for companies with multiple buyers, you can go with its premium version.

In a nutshell, B2BKing combines all the major wholesale management tools in a single plugin. That way, you don’t have to install several separate add-ons.

If you’re eager to check out all of its major features in detail, then dive into its highlights.

Key Features and Highlights of B2BKing

B2BKing is an all-in-one B2B and wholesale plugin for WooCommerce stores. It’s filled with core features available for free and premium features for advanced capabilities. There are some add-ons and complete support to certain plugins, too.

Check out all the major features and highlights of B2BKing right now. Here we go!

1. Business Registration and Custom Fields

The goal of a B2B store is to allow businesses to register on your website. And B2BKing makes it super easy with its comprehensive registration forms for your business customers. Here’s what functionalities it offers:

  • By default, it offers 9 types of customizable fields.
  • You can automatically or manually approve registration requests.
  • After a careful application review, you can assign customers to groups.
  • Each group can have separate pricing and order rules.
  • Add new custom fields to the form for additional details about businesses.

Best of all, team members can collaborate on conversations, orders, purchase lists, etc. Overall, the parent accounts can view all those subaccount orders and lists. They can approve or reject orders made by employees or subaccounts.

2. B2B and B2C Hybrid Store Support + Private Store

B2BKing is not just about creating a B2B store. It supports a hybrid store with both B2B and B2C customers. And we’ve mentioned this before, too.

So, what will you get with support for both B2B and Hybrid B2B + B2C sites?

  • If you want a pure B2B website, then enable the B2B-only mode.
  • If you want individual customers, then enable hybrid B2B + B2C mode.
  • Note that business features and pricing will only be visible to B2B customers if you run a hybrid store.
  • In addition, if you own a B2C site, then using B2BKing is beneficial to add B2B store functionalities. And it won’t impact your existing customers.

But that’s not all! You can even build a private store with B2BKing. In such a store, you can hide prices, the shop, and products from logged-out users. That too not all products. You can just hide certain premium products or product prices.

So, how do normal users get access to them? That’s through the need to send quote requests. We’ll learn about that later.

3. Wholesale Prices and Tiered Pricing

Adding wholesale prices to your WooCommerce products is simple with B2BKing. In addition, you can even add tiered prices, also in a table, using this plugin.

You can use B2BKing to set wholesale prices that can be different for the same product. This product may be simple or variable. Plus, you can set up amount or percentage discounts for wholesale.

Tiered Pricing with B2BKing

In fact, you can show both retail and wholesale prices to your business customers. Not only that, but you can set up different prices for each user or group, too.

Moreover, tiered pricing lets you set up different prices based on ordered quantity. Best of all, you can automatically generate an amazing tiered pricing table.

4. Wholesale Order Form and Quick Order

Wholesale prices and tiered pricing focus on the prices of the same product or product variations. If a customer tries to buy several products at once, then B2BKing offers them a wholesale order form.

Guess what? B2BKing lets you easily configure the bulk order form. Just adjust the given settings and select your choices. Some options include:

  • Offers three order form themes, namely Cream, Indigo, and Classic.
  • Lets your customers search for the product by its name and SKU.
  • Supports quick AJAX Search for quick searching of desired products.
  • Users can sort products alphabetically or based on the status of best-selling.
  • Includes shortcodes that let you add the bulk order form on any page.

Similarly, there’s also a quick order feature. What it does is let people easily add your products into their cart in bulk via a CSV file upload. Just the CSV file must include the SKUs and product quantities. Pretty handy for regular customers, right?

5. Customer Groups and Product Visibility Control

Business registration or general account registration takes place by choosing roles. But you can organize your customers in the backend as groups.

How does it benefit?

  • This lets you set different prices, discounts, and conditions for every group.
  • Set different payment methods for each user or customer group.
  • Include different shipping methods for individual users or customer groups.
  • Add rules through which users can shift to a higher group automatically as soon as they hit certain targets.

Similarly, you can also control your products’ visibility. Meaning, you can hide some selected products or categories. That too, based on your individual customers and customer groups.

Additionally, you can restrict your content, too. You can hide specific content from selective user groups. That’s through the use of a content shortcode.

This content restriction shortcode also lets you show different product descriptions, different order conditions, etc. Plus, you can apply group-specific CSS that changes the design of your content for B2B and B2C customers differently.

6. Conversations, Messaging, and Quote Requests

What’s interesting is that B2BKing also lets you and your customers communicate directly. Thanks to its built-in conversation and messaging system.

Here’s what they do:

  • Users can send inquiries, quote requests, and messages via their account.
  • You can provide customer support, negotiate prices/orders, and answer questions on your B2BKing dashboard.
  • Anyone can initiate the conversation, whether you or your customers.
  • Sends automated email notifications for new customer registration approval, new messages, and more.
  • Specifically, quote requests can be about specific products and quantities.
  • Offers custom fields by default while communicating. For example, 9 types of quote fields are available.

  • Provide offers (like discounts) and promotional bundles.
  • Coupons can be for certain chosen B2C users, groups, or B2B customers.
  • Send offers in branded PDFs with your business logo. Sendable by email.

7. Dynamic Rules with Examples

Rules can’t just be set on customer groups. But for every component involved in your store. The following are some basic and dynamic rules:

  • Set the minimum and maximum order quantity or value on all or specific products and categories.
  • Free shipping can be for certain products or when it reaches an order value.
  • Rules focused on the package or quantity of each product.
  • Configure taxes and fees using rules that can also be for users or groups.

How to Install, Activate, and Configure B2BKing?

With all the key features understood, you may want to test or use B2BKing. Before that, you must correctly install and configure B2BKing, whether free or paid.

Therefore, we’re going through the installation and configuration steps in detail. This starts with setting up WooCommerce and then B2BKing.

But wait a sec. Did you install and activate a WordPress theme designed for a wholesale website? If not, then do that beforehand.

The choice of a WordPress theme is your decision. But check if it has a suitable eCommerce template that meets your B2B and wholesale needs. Most of all, it should work perfectly fine with B2BKing.

You can first learn how to pick a WordPress theme. Then, check out the best WooCommerce themes. Next, here’s how you can install a WordPress theme.

How to Create a WooCommerce B2B Store with B2BKing?

Now, wondering if using B2BKing to create a store is simple enough for you? Indeed, the process to build a WooCommerce B2B store is pretty straightforward if you have the right guide. We’re here to the rescue!

Here, we’ll go through the steps of using the wholesale and B2B features of B2BKing on your WooCommerce store.

But make sure you correctly installed and set up B2BKing from the previous section, as many features come into existence through the right configuration.

With that, let’s begin with creating the WooCommerce B2B store using B2BKing!

Step 1: Create B2B Groups

The significant first step in your B2B store is creating groups.

You can add groups for different business types involved in your WooCommerce store. Based on that, you can separate pricing, products, etc.

For that, go to the ‘B2BKing > Groups’ menu.

In fact, there are a default B2B user and logged-out user groups on which you can make adjustments. Just open them and adjust payment and shipping methods.

Now, let’s create a new B2B group. Click the ‘Business (B2B) Groups’ option.

Click B2B Group Option

For that, open ‘Users > All Users’ and press the ‘Edit’ option for a user. Now, go to the end of the page and find the ‘B2B User Settings’ area. Here, let’s select the ‘Small Businesses’ group that we just made. Lastly, hit ‘Update Profile.’

For this example, let’s create a rule in which small businesses move from their group to the large businesses group if they have already spent at least $100,000.

According to that, enter the group rule name. Here, we’ll add the ‘Small to Large Business – $100,000 Spent’ title. Now, perform these actions as per the example:

  • Apply to – Small Businesses, the group to which we’re applying the rule.
  • Set Conditions – When customer’s Total amount spent Is Greater than (>) Value $100000. That’s the condition for the applied group.
  • Move To – Large Businesses, the destination group when that condition is met.

When you scroll down more, then you’ll see a separate section called ‘Product Visibility (B2BKing).’ Currently, the product follows the default category rules. Meaning, all B2B groups can view the product.

If your product is available for all customers, then keep it as it is. However, if you want to hide premium products for certain lower-level groups, then use this feature.

For example, choose the ‘Manual setting (override category rules)’ option on the ‘Set Product Visibility’ option. Following that, pick the groups that should only see that particular product. Here, let’s go with large businesses and VIPs.

Further, you can even make adjustments to the product visibility based on each user of your WooCommerce store. Once you’re done, press the ‘Update’ button and go ahead to adjust pricing tiers and manage visibility of other products.

Step 6: Create Dynamic Rules

Another amazing feature of B2BKing is adding more dynamic rules. These rules can be based on your users, groups, or products to offer discounts, hide prices, set minimum order quantities, or anything that lets you control your online store.

Just open the ‘B2BKing > Dynamic Rules’ menu and click ‘Create new rule.’

Now, enter your rule title (for instance, ‘Small Businesses Maximum $2000 Purchases’) and fill out its details. Based on the rule, you’ll get fields, including:

  • Rule type – Here, we’ll go with ‘Maximum Order.’
  • Applies to – Pick selected or all products/categories/variations to apply the rule. Here, we’ll go with the ‘Cart total / All products.’
  • For who – To whom is this rule applied for? Here, it’s ‘Small Businesses.’
  • Quantity/value – For this example, it’s based on quantity.
  • How much – Let’s add 2000.
  • Additional options – Toggle if you want to set the multiple for each product.
  • Rule priority – If multiple rules are set for the same type, state its priority.

For a different dynamic rule, you may get other settings, for instance, conditions. After you’ve added the rule, don’t forget to hit ‘Publish.’

Step 7: Setting Up Registration Roles, Fields, and Form

Groups are private; only you can check to manage your store. For customers, they’ll get a registration role option to choose from during registration.

When you move to the ‘B2BKing > Registration Roles’ menu, there may be some default roles. These are customizable, so feel free to edit their functionality.

To add new roles, click the ‘Add New’ button. There, enter the role name, let’s say ‘Wholesaler (requires approval).’ Next, set up these options:

  • Enable the status once your new role is ready to begin.
  • Decide whether you need manual approval or automatic role acceptance.
  • Choose which group that specific role will be assigned to.
  • Select whether you want to get a placeholder for the option.

That’s it! Just save the changes by hitting ‘Publish.’

Do you want to add more fields to your registration form? That’s possible on the ‘Registration Fields’ menu. There, you can view, edit, delete, and add fields.

Plus, there’s a ‘Registration Form Shortcodes’ button with which you can integrate the form in any location you want on your eCommerce site.

Guess what? Your registration form can automatically be present on your website if you allow your customers to create an account.

Just go to ‘WooCommerce > Settings > Accounts & Privacy’ and enable the ‘Allow customers to create an account – During checkout’ option on the ‘My account’ page.

Make sure to remove the guest checkout option. Save the changes, and your registration form is all set up.

A reminder to check if the ‘My account’ page is located in your site’s navigation. If not, please do it. Only then your visitors can register and log in to an account.

Step 8: Insert a Bulk Order Page

Moving forward, let’s check out bulk ordering by B2BKing. For that, you need to add the form shortcode yourself from ‘B2BKing > Settings > Bulk Order Form.’

There, press the ‘Get Order Form Shortcodes’ button.

Now, all you need to do is open a page or create a new one where you want to place it. Here, let’s create a new page and name it ‘Wholesale Order Form.’

There, insert the shortcode block and paste the shortcode. Then, press ‘Publish.’
